Year’s almost halfway over and it’s time for another monthly agenda.

So, let’s start off with the bad news. Summer classes have started for me, and as it turns out, a lot of the content is going to be condensed. This means that I will be busy trying to keep up with multiple chapters a week, which will keep me from writing or recording podcasts. This will last until about early July, so I’m expecting that all projects will slow down until then.

But on the bright side, I am pleased to say that I kept busy during the month of May. Another chapter of Rise of the Adept has been completed. I have a lot planned for the next chapter though, so I’m thinking that it might be a while before I finished writing that with classwork likely keeping me busy.

As for Gettin’ Real with the Reels, progress on releasing new episodes did pick up over May. I’m remaining hesitantly optimistic about keeping up with new recordings, especially as we do get into the Summer releases.

I’m pleased to announce that I have finished another chapter for Rise of the Adept. Additionally, I’ve started the next chapter and took time to look over previous chapters as part of a minor editing session. I’m not sure on if I can pick up my writing progress, especially given finals and summer classes for my master’s, but I’m glad to show that I’m still able to keep working on Rise of the Adept.

Additionally, Gettin’ Real with the Reels continues as plan. I hope to take advantage of the break between the end of spring classes and the start of summer classes to find time to record more episodes. Work may keep me busy but I believe that I’m finding a way to record episodes in a timely manner.

Progress on Rise of the Adept continues. The pace slowed down a little toward the middle of the month but I hope to pick up the pace with some extra free time. The plan is to finish the current chapter by the end of the month, although given what may come up, this deadline could get pushed back depending on the situation. Regardless of what happens, I’ll do my best to keep on writing.

Gettin’ Real with the Reels has made its return after a brief hiatus as of last month. The plan is to go through the Best Picture nominees as well as throw in a few other movies to add some variety. I’m still working on the best time to record these episodes but I’m pleased to say that, at the very least, the hiatus is over.

It’s the start of a new month which means that it’s time for the next monthly agenda.

So, I’d just like to start off by saying that working on my master’s has keep me very busy. There have been a lot of weekly assignments, and right now, I am trying to finish some midterm projects. I just want to state what’s been going on with my life to help explain why there’s been slow progress on some of my projects.

With that said, there has been a little progress made on Rise of the Adept. I’m not close to finishing the current chapter, but I remain optimistic that as I adjust to my new schedule and finish these midterm projects, I will be able to get back to focusing on Rise of the Adept and make significant progress writing the next part of the story.

Regarding Gettin’ Real with the Reels, there has been no new episode over February due to making my classes a priority. I’m looking to upload a new episode early this month and will have exciting news included as part of it, so be on the lookout for the next episode.

We have an important monthly agenda for February with more than just updates on ongoing projects.

As of last month, I have officially started to work on my Master’s degree at the University of Central Missouri. After some thought about what I wanted to do moving forward with my life, I decided it was time to pursue education as a career as that’s been something I’ve always considered but have always pushed back. I’m very excited for this new chapter of my life. This won’t be the end of my time as Chance the Podcaster but it does mean that progress on ongoing activities will slow down to focus on classwork.

As such, there hasn’t been a lot of progress made on the current chapter for Rise of the Adept. It’s been slow going so far but I hope that as I adjust to my new schedule, I’ll find time to write and finish this chapter sooner rather than later.

I announced in my last episode of Gettin’ Real with the Reels that I was taking a short break both to adjust to classes and to wait for movies I want to review to come out. We’re approaching the time where I will return to recording more episodes so be on the look out for the next episode of Gettin’ Real with the Reels, coming out sometime in the middle of February.

It’s the start of a new year and a new month, meaning that it’s time for a new monthly agenda to start the year off.

I am pleased to announce that I’ve finished another chapter for Rise of the Adept. While I wasn’t able to finish writing the story by 2024, I have high hopes that Rise of the Adept can be finished during 2025. I look forward to providing more updates on my progress as I prepare to get started on the next chapter.

Gettin’ Real with the Reels continues to go at a slow pace. I hope to pick up progress for recording and uploading podcasts throughout 2025, especially as we grow closer to hearing what the best picture nominees for the year are.

The year is almost over and it’s time for a new monthly agenda to close out 2024.

Progress on Rise of the Adept has been going great. I’m getting close to finishing the current chapter that I’m on and hope to get it done by the end of the month or the start of January. I’m very excited to keep up on the progress, even if it is taking more time than I thought.

I’m also excited to announce that I was able to upload another episode of Gettin’ Real with the Reels. While it’s hard to promise that I’ll be able to record new episodes as the holidays approach, I want to assure everyone that it’s still my intention to keep the series going even as I have to adjust my schedule to find time to do so.

With only two months remaining in the year, it’s time for another monthly agenda.

To start, I would like to address my participation in National Novel Writing Month. For years, I’ve taken part in NaNoWriMo to write 50,000 words over the course of November. However, I cannot agree with NaNoWriMo’s stance on the use of AI in writing. While I do believe that certain tools, such as spell check, are vital for writers today, I think that using AI further is a slippery slope. As such, while I do intend to keep writing, I do not intend to affiliate myself with NaNoWriMo as of this year.

Speaking of writing, I continue to make progress with Rise of the Adept. I’m very excited for this next chapter I’m working on and can’t wait to get back to writing. I only hope to keep this progress as the holidays come up.

As for Gettin’ Real with the Reels, I had a minor cold partway through October that made it hard for me to record. I’m over the cold but I’ve fallen out of the habit of recording. I’m hoping to catch up with my podcast recordings this month now that I’m feeling better.

There are only three months remaining in the year and it’s time for another monthly agenda.

Progress on Rise of the Adept has continued and a chapter has been finished. There’s still plenty to write but I’m glad to say that I’ve been able to pick up the pace. I don’t think it’s likely that the rough draft will be finished by the end of the year but I think that I’m getting closer to finishing Rise of the Adept.

Regarding Gettin’ Real with the Reels, recording new episodes continues at a slow pace. Hopefully, as I’ve adjusted to my new schedule, I’ll be able to record new podcasts, especially with the movies coming out toward the end of the year. Be on the lookout for new episodes coming out soon.

We’re getting closer to the end of the year and it’s time for another monthly agenda.

Due to my new job, I’ve found that I haven’t had much time to write, and unfortunately, this means that I’ve fallen behind on the current chapter for Rise of the Adept. However, I’m starting to adjust to my new schedule, and now, I believe that I should be able to get back to Rise of the Adept over the month.

While I did fall behind on my writing, I can say that Gettin’ Real with the Reels is back after I published a new episode in August. I look forward to recording new episodes throughout the rest of the year so be on the look out for that.
